Spring In The Puyallup Valley

Spring has sprung around the Puyallup Valley! The mornings are frosty, the afternoons are starting to warm up, and the daffodils are showing their bright yellow heads everywhere, from the side of 512 to Tacoma Boys Market. South Sounders are beginning to clean up their yards, closets, and garages and anticipate the Daffodil Parade and Washington State Spring Fair’s return. This year, due to Covid, the parade will be stationary rather than its standard four city route, beginning in Tacoma, continuing to Puyallup, Sumner, and ending in Orting, and will run in partnership with the Spring Fair. Please see http://thedaffodilfestival.org/events/ for events, dates, and ticket information.

Here at Rainier Junk Removal, spring means longer daylight hours, putting away the heavy rain jacket, and spring cleaning all around the South Sound. Spring cleaning is different for everyone. For some, it might just be as simple as cleaning the appliances and checking expiration dates and for others, cleaning closets and donating old clothing and bedding to one of the many Goodwill WA locations, please find your closest location at
https://goodwillwa.org/shop/locations/. Donating is always a great option to save money on disposal, keep clothing and other household goods out of the landfills, and provide jobs to those within the Goodwill training programs. No Goodwill locations nearby? St. Vincent de Paul Society also accepts clothing and household items as well as provides spiritual material and financial assistance to those in need, please see locations at https://svdptacoma.org/

It’s very possible that for you and your family, spring 2021 means a trip to the mountains, walking through the daffodils, and once again returning to one of your favorite Tacoma, Puyallup, or Sumner eateries, and spring cleaning is not on that list. Spring cleaning can be too much to handle, perhaps the Covid shopping got out of control, you don’t know where to start, or you haven’t spring cleaned since 1999, Rainier Junk Removal can help. Head to rainierjunkremoval.com or give us a call and let us address the mess.
